ACCRU MELBOURNE

This quarter we have welcomed two new starters to our office, being:

Natarsha Zorzanello – Paraplanner (AWM)

Jasmine Jose – Accountant (BAS)

Matilda Arnott, Luke Green, Finley Sterling, Pawani Dasanayak, Kate Derham & Jessica Brindley all celebrated their first year at Accru as well.

We also celebrated one year since Richard Barker, Charmaine Neate & Josephine Cremona joined Accru Melbourne after merging with us in January 2023.

Our annual Accru Day was hosted in early October. We began the day with an update from each division, taking us through their progress since our last update in March. Next up we had a visit from former AFL player & current CEO of Leading Teams, Dean Anderson. He gave an inspiring talk on leadership and teamwork in business. Finally, we had an informative session from Zarife Hardy, Director of the Australian School of Etiquette & an all-round expert on business etiquette. We all learnt a very valuable lesson on how to present our best self in a business setting. To cap off the day our social club organised food & drinks at a local venue.

 In October we celebrated World Food Day by hosting an afternoon tea. Staff were encouraged to bring along a dish representative of their culture. This was a great opportunity to try new foods & get to know the culture of our colleagues.

As part of this afternoon tea, each person was asked to bring along a shelf stable food. We ended up with a great collection of non-perishable food to donate to the Food for Families charity, ran by Uniting Church.

In the theme of giving, we also ran a toy drive in the lead up to the holidays.  Staff & clients generously donated various toys, games & activities to our tree, which was then donated all together to the Kmart wishing tree appeal.

Our most anticipated social event of the year, Stakes Day was held in November! We got dolled up ready for a day of socialising & watching the races.

After a 3-year hiatus, The Corporate Games were back in November! We entered three teams, two mixed netball teams & one mixed soccer team. Out of a total nine games between all teams, we came away with two wins. Nonetheless it was a fantastic weekend playing sport together!

Early in December, our Audit team enjoyed a celebratory day out. It began with a pub lunch before heading to an escape room. They split into two teams to see who could break out first! Drinks were to follow & a fun time was had by all.

To close 2023, we celebrated the Holiday’s with a delicious lunch at a picturesque restaurant. We had a blast reigning in the festive period & our office break.

It has been a busy quarter for our staff with many baby & engagement announcements and a wedding as well!

Hayley & Lachie Braid were delighted to announce the safe arrival of their twins, Alice & Eliza.

Craig Smith & his wife, Mollie, too were proud to announce the happy arrival of Elijah.

Kalpa Passaperuma & his partner, Anjana, were also thrilled to announce the joyous arrival of Kylie.

Chee Hii & her husband Vincent were also excited to announce the arrival of Charlotte. 

Chelsea Mowat & her husband Jake are pleased to announce her pregnancy.

Sophie, Antonio, Jade, Peter Delyiannis & Matt all share the fabulous news of their engagements to their respective partners. 

Lizzie married her now husband, Tim on the 16^th of December, congratulations to the happy couple!
