We have an exciting opportunity available for a driven and experienced SMSF accountant or tax accountant with SMSF experience ready to specialize.
You will be part of the firms’ Business Services Accounting team and will focus almost entirely on SMSFs however this role has the opportunity to be a mix of both Business Services and SMSF.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a superannuation advisory role and be studying or have completed the CA/CPA program. In addition to your knowledge and experience, some responsibilities of the role will include:
• Preparation of annual return and financial statements as well as associated compliance documents.
• Process and review of transactions from source documentation into BGL360.
• Communication with clients, third parties and external auditors.
• Ensure jobs are completed effectively by meeting technical standards and deadlines
• Assistance with preparation of superannuation advice to clients as required.
Your experience and attributes
To be considered for this role you must be an Accounting graduate, with at least 3 years experience, ideally working within a chartered accounting firm, with a focus or specialization on SMSF. You will be studying or have completed your CA program and enjoy the advisory component of your role. Furthermore, you will have solid technical and analytical abilities, with a high attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines. You will have a professional approach to work and enjoy interacting with clients and working as part of a small close-knit team.
Experience with MS Office applications, along with a working knowledge of APS, and Xero will be considered favorably.
