Michael heads a team of experienced accountants who specialise in a range of audit and assurance functions.  Originally from Germany, he is well known in the German-speaking community. His career has included postings to Frankfurt with a large accounting firm and extensive travel to Europe on assignments, giving him a unique insight into both German and Australian business environments.

Michael has many years experience advising overseas subsidiaries. He performs audits for subsidiaries of European, US, UK, Malaysian and other overseas companies, as well as providing tax advice and tax return preparation for Australian foreign-owned entities. His broader experience spans listed and non-listed entities in the import, distribution, manufacturing and retail sectors, as well as professional and community organizations and private schools.

Organisations setting up in Australia find Michael's expertise and experience invaluable. In effect he understands their needs and he understands Australia. As Michael observes “German managers often feel more comfortable when they know that their language, culture and business environment is understood by their auditor.”

Many opportunities come to Michael through his strong relationships with the firm’s overseas associate offices and his close links with the Austrian, German and Swiss communities. As Chief Executive of Intergest Australia (European business process outsourcing specialists), he helps overseas organisations set up in Australia and caters for their accounting, taxation and auditing needs.
