Simon joined Accru Danby Bland Provan in 1993 as a graduate in the audit division. Diversifying his skills, he also worked as part of the Business Services division, where he became a Manager in 1998. Simon joined the partnership in 2003.
Working primarily with small and medium sized businesses, Simon’s specialist technical skills include management advice, cash flow management, restructuring (including for family succession), tax planning and business strategies.
Simon’s key focus is on his small business clients and using his skills, and those of the Accru team, to proactively assist small business owners. He has a strong background in taxation, including GST, and provides advice to a large number of self managed superannuation funds. Simon has experience across a breadth of industries.
Simon is client driven in every way, striving for the best possible outcome in every situation. He prides himself on his accessibility and dedication to his clients.
Simon plays a key role in the Australian Chartered Accounting Training Group (ACATG) as a facilitator in the Business Services Level 2 development course. He has spoken widely on GST, particularly in the health and welfare sector.
