“Business is complex! As an advisor, my role is to overcome complexity, so that owners and managers can see the forest beyond the trees.”
Brett likes to act as his clients’ ‘sounding board’, brainstorming and critiquing ideas on a range of management-related matters. He’s adept at anticipating the effects of tax law changes and helping clients with decision-making and planning.
Brett has over 20 years experience providing specialist tax and superannuation consulting advice. He proficiently combines a detailed knowledge of taxation law with a practical understanding of the operational aspects of business.
Brett’s clients range from high-net-worth individuals and owner-managed businesses to listed corporate groups – many operate in financial and professional services, property development, retail distribution, franchising, primary production, investment and superannuation funds.
Some of his recent work has focused on liquidating foreign companies, expatriate tax planning and salary packaging, negative gearing scenarios, the tax consequences of corporate restructures, and inter-generational wealth transfers.
Passionate about tax, Brett regularly participates in various tax discussion groups which deal with technical issues and innovative solutions. He has authored a number of taxation articles and technical presentations.
