Ben brings significant experience to the firm, having worked for over ten years in ‘big-4’ and mid-tier firms as well as having established and run his own independent audit practice. In 2007 he merged his practice with Accru Harris Orchard, becoming a partner of the firm. At the time of qualifying as a Registered Auditor earlier in his career, Ben was the youngest person in South Australia to achieve this qualification.

Ben has wide-ranging audit experience. Under his leadership, the specialist audit division within Accru Harris Orchard audits many organisations annually -- from large proprietary companies to schools, retirement villages and Australian Financial Services licensees.

Ben currently audits a large number of not-for-profit organisations, including special interest and sporting clubs. Having been involved with a leading Self Managed Superannuation Fund audit company prior to joining Accru Harris Orchard, he  has extensive experience in auditing Self Managed Superannuation Funds.  As an accredited auditor with the Department of Climate Change, he can also perform audits to meet carbon emissions reporting requirements.

Ben has a deep understanding of what it takes to run a business and a first-hand perspective of the critical success factors. He draws on the commercial acumen he gained from running his own business to add value to his work with clients.

In addition to his audit work, Ben is the Whistleblower Protection Officer for a leading Credit Union.
