Rebecca, Junior Accountant
I joined the Accru team in September 2008. My position within the firm started as an after school trainee, doing mostly administration support work as I had no previous experience in the accounting field. In 2009, after successfully completing my HSC, I began my first year of a Bachelor of Business degree at the University of Tasmania, and was offered a full time position at Accru as a junior accountant. I currently study part time, and expect to graduate at the end of 2013 with majors in Accounting and Entrepreneurship.
Accru has certainly provided me with a crucial advantage in terms of my university education. Senior staff members are always ready and willing to support other employees, as they recognise that sharing knowledge and providing continuity in our working environment is essential. I have been able to apply the additional knowledge and insight gained in various areas of the business and accounting field to my degree, which has enabled me to excel in my studies.
Working with Accru has been an excellent experience for me. Accru has provided an extremely supportive work environment, and appreciates the value of allowing university students time to focus on their studies. I look forward to a future with the firm, with many years of learning to come.
