Jessica, Senior - Business Advisory Services
I joined the firm in the Business Services division in early 2007 as part of the Swinburne University's Industry Based Learning program. Upon completion of my IBL year, I remained with the firm and completed my degree part-time.
Accru has always been supportive of my studies, allowing me time out from work to study and complete my degree. I've always had continued assistance from both the firm and the partners who mentored me whilst completing my undergraduate degree and now as I'm undertaking my final subjects in the Chartered Accounting Program. Accru has always supported a work-life balance, which is important.
I enjoy working in a number of different areas in the accounting field while spending the majority of my time in business services gaining experience with accounting and taxation. Since being promoted to Senior and having the opportunity to manage staff, I have been able to assist younger and less experienced team members to develop their skills.
I also enjoy the social side of Accru, being an active member of our Social Club which gives me responsibility for the firm's charity work and social responsibility initiatives including the end of financial year functions.
