I began working with Accru Rawsons in mid 2010 as a Chartered Accountant in the Business Services and Taxation area. Working for the firm has proven to be a positive and rewarding experience thus far. The support and flexibility provided by the firm promotes a healthy working environment where you feel part of a team. Career development is important to everyone and definitely on offer at Accru, you are able to set your own goals and work towards achieving them. Exposure to a variety of different working styles within the firm creates a dynamic which assists in growing professionally and personally.
The highlight from my perspective is the wide range of industries and professions I have had involvement with. This gives you an insight into different businesses whilst working closely with them on growing and developing. Part of my role also includes assisting junior level accountants in developing their skills and knowledge which is rewarding.
Currently I have been working on some of the more complex jobs in the office which I enjoy as it tests my skills and keeps my technical knowledge up to date. In addition I have been extensively involved with the self managed superannuation area which is exciting as I gain a lot of satisfaction from this type of work.
